Good Homes Tools released to public
Four years of researching, writing and testing are over! The Good Homes Tools to help older people keep on top of repairs and maintenance are now available to the public and can be downloaded from this site for free.
The Good Homes research shows that older people often put off repairs and maintenance because they feel itβs too hard and would cost too much. But there is a greater cost β older people struggle to stay healthy if their house is cold, uncomfortable or unsafe.
There are three Tools β practical checklists β to help householders, support service providers, or repairs service providers assess what work needs to be done and who the best person is to do it. Having the right information gives older people the confidence to make the repairs and saves them money in the long run.
